LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the 2400 block of 46th Street after two people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds early Wednesday morning.

LPD said the initial call for service called dispatch at 2:20 a.m. requesting EMS. As operators were transferring the call, information was relayed to dispatch the victim in need of EMS was suffering from a gunshot wound.
After further communication, it was determined a second victim was also shot.
LPD stated both victims are currently at University Medical Center. One person suffered serious injuries while the second person suffered moderate injuries…
