Food truck owners keep rolling despite third week of gas price spike

LUBBOCK, Texas — The trend in gas prices continue to go up affecting drivers and businesses who travel in order to make a living.

AAA reported that since the conflict in Iran began, the statewide average price of gas is 86 cents higher per gallon than on this day last year, while the national average is 78 cents higher than one year ago.

“I mean, it’s 2026. Times are changing and we have to adapt,” said Randy Wilson.
