Freshly released from a Lubbock hospital, a Crosby County man accused of striking two women with his vehicle following a domestic disturbance now faces charges of intoxication manslaughter.
Jail records show Luis Alejandro Poot-Sosa, 49, was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on $500,000 bond Monday after he was treated for injuries that state officials say he suffered at the hands of family members of the two women he is accused of hitting with his vehicle during the Saturday night altercation.
Investigators believe the incident started about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, when a 2010 Ford F-150 stopped along County Road 105 just south of County Road 118 and all occupants exited the vehicle, according to a statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
