Upper, lowerclassmen ponder four-day fall break change

Two months into the semester, the rhythm of campus begins to change as assignments stack higher, sleep gets shorter and the distance between home and Lubbock starts to feel further.

To interrupt that cycle, Texas Tech’s university calendar will include a four-day weekend as a fall break beginning in 2027, according to a Feb. 26 memo from Tech President Lawerence Schovanec.
