Lubbock remembers Billie Caviel for kindness, community work

LUBBOCK, Texas — Billie Caviel was a woman who broke barriers in business and supported the local arts. Billie Caviel was a pillar in the Lubbock community. Billie recently passed at age 90 and the East Lubbock Art House is remembering the legacy she left behind.

Danielle East, the Executive Director of the East Lubbock Art House, say she enjoyed the arts.

“She had donated the property that her pharmacy was at to the Roots Historical Arts Council, she had talked about how she wanted to study art,”East said.
