District Judge William Eichman told a 33-year-old woman that he didn’t believe she meant to cause the single-vehicle wreck that killed her two cousins five years ago after they spent four hours at a north Lubbock bar.
However, he told Brittany Gonzales, a mother of six, that the evidence he saw during her punishment hearing in his court showed that her reckless actions that night demanded a punishment of at least two years in prison followed by three more years of community supervision.
