LUBBOCK, Texas — A full month has passed since reported gas prices began increasing, with AAA’s recent average in Lubbock for a gallon of regular is at $3.30.
For most people, three dollars at the pump is new, but for ‘Super Dave’s Lawns and More’ and its owner David Barnes, he said its something he has seen before.
“We’ve went through, you know, several ups and downs where especially, I think it was 2022, when gas was $4 for regular gas and then it was like almost $6 for diesel. So I remember we would take 300 bucks to fill up my dually truck.”

Barnes has had 17 years in the business of lawn care and has expanded to various things and installations like turf, fences, concrete and more. Despite the experience and variety of things they do, the price of gas is impacting everything once again…
