State authorities have identified a Petersburg man who died in a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday in Lubbock County.
Jorge Calderon, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that was reported about 7 a.m. near FM 400 and County Road 5300, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators believe Calderon was driving a 2003 Chevrolet pickup west on CR 5300 and approaching FM 400, where a stop sign controls traffic on CR 5300 before that traffic enters the intersection. Meanwhile, a 2023 Chevrolet pickup was traveling north on FM and approaching the intersection.
