LUBBOCK, Texas — Authorities in Lubbock responded to a vehicle in the playa lake near 56th Street and Bangor Avenue on Wednesday morning.
They call came in a little before 8:00 a.m. Photos at the scene showed police and the dive team responding to the incident.
The Lubbock Police Department said Lubbock Fire Rescue was assisting officers after a suicidal subject intentionally drove into the lake. LFR said the individual was rescued from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.
