LFR update reveals over 1,000 pallets burned in Wednesday fire near propane tank

LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock Fire Rescue released an update regarding the pallet fire that broke out around 10:30 a.m.

In a statement posted to social media, LFR stated that just after 10:30 a.m., they received a report from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center of a pallet yard fire near the 7500 block of Southeast Drive.

While the address is outside the city limits of Lubbock, the incident posed an immediate threat to nearby properties within city jurisdiction due to strong winds and the proximity of the fire. This prompted LFR to respond…
