LUBBOCK COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — Federal prosecutors released more details on a criminal case filed against an Electra father and son that led to their arrest and confinement in a Lubbock County jail over the weekend.
According to the Lubbock County Jail inmate roster, James Darrell Reid, 65, of Electra, and Randell Wayne Reid, 41, of Electra, were booked into jail on Friday, April 17, 2026, on a federal hold.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, James and Randell Reid are named among 14 defendants for “their roles in a large-scale oil theft conspiracy in the Permian Basin.”
