A Lubbock SWAT raid led to the arrest of three individuals after they were caught with several forms of illegal drugs, as well as a handgun, inside of a room at Executive Inn.
Executive Inn Meth Bust
On April 22, a large presence of law enforcement was spotted outside of Executive Inn at 7:45 p.m. In addition to Lubbock SWAT, the Texas Department of Public Safety was also on the scene, according to Everything Lubbock.
It was later discovered that the heavy police presence was in response to three individuals inside of a room believed to have illegal narcotics with them. Once a search warrant was obtained, SWAT entered the room and confirmed their beliefs.
Crystal Meth Found in Executive Inn Room
Lying on the bed was 34-year-old Markquis Tates next to a nightstand. There was a safe located on the nightstand that, after police were able to open, contained a firearm belonging to Tates and a plastic bag with four blue pills. Each pill had an “M” on one side and a “30” on the other.
