Baylor Softball associate head coach and pitching coach Brittany Newman emphasized resilience and development following a tough weekend series loss to Oklahoma State, while looking ahead to a challenging road trip against Big 12 champion Texas Tech.
Despite falling short in a 4-2 loss in the series opener, Newman praised pitcher Peyton Tanner’s performance, noting her ability to keep a powerful Oklahoma State lineup off balance deep into the game.
“That was a hard-fought battle through six innings,” Newman said on The John Morris Show. “Definitely disappointed we couldn’t hold on in the seventh, but really proud of Peyton and the work she’s putting in.”…
