While performing, Lambert stunned audiences wearing a necklace named “The Heart of Texas”. A pendant hand-carved in wax, cast in sterling silver and finished with a hand-selected turquoise heart carved in-house by its maker, Texas Tech alumna and creator of Cenizo West, Cassandra Everett.
The design of the necklace was inspired by the strength and unity she witnessed following the Hill Country floods that impacted her hometown of Kerrville, Texas. Everett shared with EverythingLubbock.com that seeing communities from surrounding towns and across Texas support one another deeply resonated with her. She aimed to create a piece that truly encapsulates the essence of the Lone Star State.
Everett told EverythingLubbock.com that she was aware the country music star was considering wearing the necklace for her Lubbock concerts, but was completely surprised when she learned that the star intended to wear it, a tremendous honor she’ll never forget…
