Madison mayor speaks out about safety issues at intersection where Corey Ruiz memorial stands

MADISON, Wis. — The Madison mayor spoke out after a man was arrested following a battery at Williamson and Baldwin streets, the area where Corey Ruiz was shot and a temporary memorial has been set up.

“What’s happening at the intersection of Williamson Street and Baldwin Street is not sustainable or safe. There are a number of immediate public safety and public health concerns that must not be ignored,” said Madison Mayor Rhodes-Conway.
