(WFRV) – Authorities in Columbia County are trying to find the person responsible for building a dam on a creek that could result in trout dying.
The Lodi Police Department posted on its Facebook page, saying the DNR alerted them about someone who is building a dam on Spring Creek behind the 100 block of North Main Street. A DNR Warden is looking to speak with the person responsible.
Authorities provided information that the fine for establishing an unpermitted dam is $1,019 and up to $1,000 per day that the dam remains.
