MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Curious Crafter Art Studio held its first kid art fair Sunday, giving young artists a chance to display and sell their work to the public.
For many of the children who participated, it was their first time showing their art to others.
Studio co-owner cites community as motivation
Co-owner Teddy Schober said the event was inspired by the young customers who regularly visit the studio. Participating kids were asked to submit a business name and plan their own booth layout ahead of the fair.
“Every day we see sort of the kids come in and are just — we’re inspired by them,” Schober said. “And so we want to give them a little showcase to show off and sell some of their art, make a little fun summer money. But also like this community has been so kind to us. That’s just a little way that we can give back and sort of again highlight some of our regulars and some new people too.”…
