Dane County Board calls for delay, more review of proposed 765-kV transmission project

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Dane County Board is calling for additional review and more public input before a proposed 765-kilovolt transmission project through southern Wisconsin moves forward.

The board unanimously adopted a resolution Thursday night urging Midcontinent Grid Solutions and the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to provide additional review and opportunities for public input on the Bell Center-Columbia-Sugar Creek-Illinois/Wisconsin State Line 765-kilovolt transmission project, known as BECI.
