UW-Madison professor wins Nobel Prize in physics

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A University of Wisconsin-Madison professor was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics.

UW-Madison officials said Tuesday that professor Francis Halzen was honored for his understanding of the astrophysical particles known as neutrinos, which are produced by the universe’s most energetic events.
