Maple Bluff Country Club is planning a $9 million renovation with help from a U.S. Open golf course designer.
The Madison-area course, set to close in 2027 during construction, has seen its fair share of players over its more-than-100-year-history, but it’s time to make some changes and do some maintenance, according to the club’s latest master plan. The basic course layout has been the same for more than half a century, since 1967, and Josh LePine, the club’s certified golf course superintendent, argues now is the time to change that.
“I genuinely believe this is a once in a generation opportunity to have a top architect and top contractor, both with personal ties to Maple Bluff Country Club, assist us through executing our vision for the club,” he wrote in the master plan…
