MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A new $13 million project in Middleton will give families of veterans a free place to stay while their loved ones receive medical care at the Madison VA Hospital.
Construction is underway on the Madison VA Fisher House, located near the Middleton Costco, which will be the second of its kind in Wisconsin, joining an existing location in Milwaukee.
Fisher Houses provide free lodging, food and support for families of veterans receiving medical treatment. The new location will accommodate up to 16 families at a time.
