MADISON, Wis. — People living in the Madison area will soon have a direct flight option to Los Angeles.
The Dane County Regional Airport announced Tuesday that it will be bringing back a non-stop flight to LAX later this year, this time through new carrier Breeze Airways.
The direct flights will be part of a summer seasonal service from MSN, with two flights available every week in the summer starting on May 22.
It’s the first time MSN will have direct flights to LAX since the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our air service development team has been working hard to continue to cultivate carrier relationships and to demonstrate that our travelers prefer to fly local through MSN. The best thing area residents can do is to choose MSN as they make their travel arrangements, so we can continue expanding flights and airlines,” airport director Kim Jones said in a statement Tuesday.
With LAX offering connecting flights to so many airports across the globe, other officials say the direct flights open up a world of possibilities.
