When you’re slogging through a subzero Wisconsin winter, thank your lucky stars you don’t have to dress up like a beaver and make a movie amid the snow and cold. That’s what writer-director Mike Cheslik and co-writer and star Ryland Brickson Cole Tews did for three weeks in the winter of 2020. The duo and their shoestring cast and crew, including some friends from high school that they roped into volunteering, spent 12 weeks in the woods of northern Wisconsin filming the slapstick silent comedy “Hundreds of Beavers.”
