Man who pleaded guilty in deadly shooting on Madison’s north side sentenced to 12 years in prison

MADISON, Wis. — The man who pleaded guilty in a 2022 shooting on Madison’s north side that left an 18-year-old dead was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison, online court records show.

Aquille Lowe, 29, initially faced charges of first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon as a party to a crime in the death of 18-year-old Laron Bynum . As part of a deal, that charge was dismissed and in September 2023 Lowe pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide as a party to a crime.
