SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Sun Prairie police said a stabbing that injured a woman at a laundromat Sunday night was a case of self defense.
Officers were called to the laundromat at 980 West Main Street at around 6 p.m. Sunday after a caller reported that they were attacked and had stabbed their attacker to defend themselves.
An investigation reportedly found that a Sun Prairie woman and another customer had gotten into a dispute over using one of the laundry machines when the woman attacked.
Police said the customer resisted the woman by stabbing her twice with a knife. The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. She faces charges of disorderly conduct and battery.
News 3 Now is not naming the woman at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. Click here to learn more about the policy .
