A group of Democrats in Madison are looking to boost local journalism in the state. State Rep. Jimmy Anderson, state Rep. Jodi Emerson, and State Senator Mark Spreitzer have asked their fellow lawmakers for support of a program they say will introduce a newspaper tax credit and a local journalism fellowship program.
