MADISON, Wis. — Madison police arrested a man Friday morning who they said armed himself with a gun and banged on his neighbors’ windows on the city’s north side.
Officers were called to an apartment building in the 2500 block of Monterey Drive just after 4 a.m. Neighbors reported that a 30-year-old man had been banging on their windows and doors, and wanted to fight someone.
When police arrived, they reportedly found the man standing in the entryway of the building holding a gun. Police said the man tried to run away.
Officers were able to take the man into custody and take his gun away. Nobody was injured. The man faces charges of going armed while intoxicated, disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.
