Equal Rights Amendment Bill re-introduced in Madison

MADISON, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Wisconsin Lawmakers are once again introducing the Equal Rights Amendment Bill. This would change the State’s Constitution to protect Equal Rights under state law on the basis of sex. The Federal Equal Rights Amendment was passed in 1971, with Wisconsin ratifying it in 1972. But it was not added to Wisconsin’s constitution.
