MADISON, Wis. — Madison residents who use Metro Transit are welcomed to a series of informational sessions to learn about transportation options in the city beyond taking the bus.
The sessions will take place over the next several months, where Metro Transit employees will share everything new that people need to know.
Mick Rusch of Metro Transit says with many changes to the system which have already begun, along with more to be implemented this year, it is time to update people on what their options are.
MICK- Just a lot of new things that happened that people just have questions about,” remarked Rusch. “Sometimes it’s easier to ask questions to somebody in person than it is to call on the phone, you really don’t know who you’re talking to and it’s just kind of easier to have a face in the conversation. And you can get some real in-depth training in person as opposed to maybe it’s not as easy to do over the phone.”
Rusch says those options other than the bus include everything from B-Cycles to Metro’s Paratransit program, which gives individuals with disabilities who can’t use the bus a ride share option.
