Advocates push for more funding to support crime victims

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – VOCA, or the Victims of Crime Act, provides substantial federal funding to organizations supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and more. With the risk of that federal funding being cut, advocates are asking Wisconsin lawmakers to pass a new bill to help fill in some of the funding gap at the state level.
