Town hall organized in Evansville for people affected by tornado

EVANSVILLE, Wis. — The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is organizing a town hall meeting for those affected by Thursday night’s tornado on Friday evening.

In an update from the sheriff’s office provided at 12:35 p.m., officials said those affected by the tornado are being encouraged to head to the Evansville Fire District at 425 Water Street in Evansville for a meeting at 5 p.m.

Additionally, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. News 3 Now plans to stream that press conference live on Channel3000.com and the free Channel 3000+ connected TV streaming app.

The sheriff’s office says Territorial Road reopened just after 12:30 p.m. Friday, but several other side roads remain closed as crews continue to clean up debris from the storm.

Officials say as of now, there is not a need for community donations or volunteers.
