#1 Milwaukee Airport (MKE): ~6.8 Million Passengers

Although the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Wisconsin is more of a medium-sized airport in comparison to other larger airports in the US, it’s the largest in the state of Wisconsin. It primarily serves Milwaukee and it’s located just south (about five miles) of the city. There are three concourses and inside the terminal, travelers can enjoy dining and shopping (on the main terminal and concourses C and D). Although the airport is international, it primarily serves domestic flights. It’s served by a few different airlines including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest, United Airlines, Spirit Frontier, JetBlue, and Delta Airlines. MKE also accommodates different types of planes, so it has several different runways. Those arriving at MKE can use several transportation services, including shuttle services, rental cars, and public transport.
