Haven Men’s Homeless Shelter Director Departing Next Month

The Haven Men’s Homeless Shelter will be looking for a new leader. An announcement from Executive Director Michael Ethridge says he will be departing from the Haven to pursue a new and exciting opportunity in Madison. As he prepares to leave, he reflects on 10 years as the Haven has grown and become a staple of hope in Manitowoc. Together, Ethridge says, 489 men have been served, which includes providing them with the support and resources they needed to rebuild their lives. Ethridge continues saying he’s particularly proud of the success in securing permanent housing for 70% of residents, which is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire Haven team. He also thanks his team for their tireless efforts, compassion, and dedication that have made a tangible difference in the lives of so many. Ethridge also thanked the Board of Directors and the volunteers who have fueled the mission of providing a place for men to be able to get the help they need to get back out into the world. Ethridge finishes by saying as he looks forward to his new role in Madison, he carries with him lessons, experiences, and memories from his time at the Haven and says it’s been a privilege to be part of such an extraordinary organization and community. His last day will be July 15th.
