June VIBE: The city’s summer spot

Some go to the Wisconsin Union Terrace to people-watch. Others split a pitcher of beer with friends and maybe play a game of cards. Some find a spot on the concrete steps to study, read a book or type something up (like Tye Trondson, pictured). There are ice cream eaters, pier sunbathers, music listeners and brave swimmers. Going to the Union is one of Wisconsin’s most beloved summertime traditions, and there isn’t just one right way to do it.
