MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Finally, some calmer conditions as we move through the middle of the week. A cold front moving through the area this evening will bring an end to shower and storm activity for the next couple of days. It doesn’t last long as a good chance of storms returns Friday and Saturday and again early next week. There will also be a break from the oppressive heat and humidity with highs at or below normal through the end of the month. While we aren’t tracking any organized severe weather chances over the next week, river flooding concerns will grow. If you live in a flood prone area, pay attention to the forecast.
