Madison targets ‘missing middle’ in new west side affordable housing project

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The City of Madison plans to combat a self identified housing crisis by building town homes for the middle class on the west side. Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and Planning, Community and Economic Development Director Matt Wachter held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday on Theresa Terrace as they plan to tear down empty, city-owned duplexes and build new townhomes.
