PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Most of the day will be dry for southern Wisconsin with more sunshine and highs in the 80s. By the later afternoon and evening, we are going to see some showers and storms form west of Madison. These storms could definitely produce heavy rainfall, and there also is a small chance of severe weather for western counties. These storms will dissipate a little bit as they push to the east, so Dane county and areas south and east may not see any rainfall from this first round of showers and storms. However, more widespread rain will move in later tonight.
