MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Madison Bus Rapid Transit system officially started with a new route and “bus only” lanes during heavy rain. The red painted bus only lanes have been around for awhile, but as Madison Metro’s new busy system debuts, officials said it’s more important for people not to drive in them. The only exception is for some turn lanes that are clearly marked at busy intersections. Some intersections do not have a left turn lane anymore.
