Two arrested on drug charges in Madison

MADISON, Wis. — Madison Police arrested two people on drug charges on the city’s east side Tuesday morning.

Police said they attempted to make a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet sedan in the area of E Washington Avenue and Hagan Drive. Officers located the vehicle after it attempted to drive away and it was located in a neighboring jurisdiction.

During a search of the residence, officers recovered drugs, additional firearms and a large amount of cash.

The man were arrested for party to a crime of maintaining a drug dwelling, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute THC. Police also arrested another man for eluding, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute THC.
