MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Wausau Mayor Doug Diny’s decision to remove a ballot drop box from the front of city hall sparked Madison organizations to ask for an investigation. On Sunday, Wausau’s mayor moved a drop box from outdoors to his office inside city hall. It’s Diny’s first year in office and he ran on a conservative ticket advocating against ballot boxes. Diny said he did nothing wrong and only moved the box because it was not bolted down. According to the city clerk, the drop box was locked and did not have any ballots inside of it.
