The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a fatal crash in the Town of Vienna just after midnight Sunday.
At approximately 12:10 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, Waunakee Police, and Waunakee Fire and EMS responded to a fatal rollover crash on Schumacher Road, just south of Cuba Valley Road in the Town of Vienna.
According to a report from the sheriff’s office, the driver and lone occupant had been ejected from the vehicle. The 30-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Crash reconstruction experts from the Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate, causing Schumacher Road to close for approximately five and a half hours.
The man’s identity will be released by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later date.
