The Wisconsin football team had an extra week to plan for USC with the Week 4 bye. Initially, it seemed as though the coaching staff put together a good plan for attacking the USC Trojans, jumping out to a 21-10 lead at halftime.
Then, as we’ve seen multiple times already this season, the Badgers unraveled in the second half.
The 11-point lead quickly disappeared after they went three-and-out to start the second half. The Trojans followed with their own three-and-out but the Badgers muffed the punt and USC recovered. They went on to score on their next three possessions, quickly putting the Badgers in a 31-21 deficit.
The lack of being able to make changes throughout the game continues to plague the Badgers.
I took another quick poll of Wisconsin football fans to get a grasp of how they thought the coaching staff was doing this season. Although it is a small sample size, it give us an indication of how the fanbase is feeling at this point of the season.
Last week, fans were still high on Fickell, believing he is still the right man to lead the program. Their faith in Tressel running the defense and Longo leading the offense were a lot less positive, however.
