Madison Police investigating late-night shooting on W. Gilman St.

MADISON, Wis. — An investigation was underway Sunday, after multiple reports of gunfire overnight.

According to the Madison Police Department, officers responded to the 400 block of West Gilman Street around 2 a.m. Officers discovered one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities secured the scene and recovered physical evidence. By 7:15 a.m., the crime scene was released, and police presence in the area was lifted.

While details surrounding the shooting remain limited, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
