Man dead, woman hurt after crash in Windsor

WINDSOR, Wis. — A man died Tuesday after a crash in the Village of Windsor, a Dane County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said.

The crash was reported just after 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of County Highways V and C. The driver of a Toyota Rav4 reportedly ran a stop sign on County Highway C northbound and was hit by a Ford F350 pick-up track heading east on County Highway V.

The driver of the Toyota, a 63-year-old man, was extricated from his vehicle by DeForest Fire and EMS. He died at the scene despite life-saving efforts by paramedics. His name was not released.

The driver of the Ford, a 47-year-old Portage woman, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
