Dear Editor: I am the board president of NewBridge Madison, which has a 50-year track record of successfully providing 3,500 low-income older adults with the services they need to live independently. City of Madison staff have proposed a devastating 44%, or $278,000, cut to Newbridge – regardless of the results of the $22 million referendum – just one year after nominating us for the 2023 Aging Forward Champion award.
