MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Star gazers are in for a treat this month as a rare comet will be visible in our night sky!. Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS was first discovered by observers in China and South Africa in 2023. The comet is about two miles wide and has a dust trail spanning millions of miles. The space rock is flying 44 million miles from Earth, and won’t be visible in our skies again for another 80,000 years.
