This Friday, sushi restaurant RED at 316 W. Washington Ave. opened an extended concept across the hall from the original restaurant space with an additional dining room, bar and rooms for private events, dinners and cocktail parties. The expansion will replace and upgrade “RED on 6th,” RED’s extra space on the sixth floor of the Hovde Properties building that was often used for overflow dining and private events. Co-owner Tanya Zhykharevich said, on the restaurant’s social media, “It truly has been a project of love these past couple years and I hope, will be a place where you can gather, celebrate and experience RED in a completely new way.” New menu items are launching in connection to the expanded restaurant.
