MADISON, Wis — Fitchburg police arrested a Madison man Wednesday afternoon in connection to a burglary at an apartment complex in Fitchburg on Sept 27.
Donyell Love, 22, was arrested by members of the Fitchburg Police Department Special Response Team when they executed a search warrant at a Madison apartment. During the search of the apartment, officers located evidence linking Love to a burglary investigation from September.
Fitchburg Police said on Sept 27, 2024 Fitchburg officers responded to an apartment complex in the 6200 block of Limestone Lane to multiple reports of vehicles broken into in a underground parking garage. Officers determined Love had reportedly used a tool to shatter windows of vehicles and take items.
At least five vehicles had damaged windows and other unlocked vehicles were entered.
Love had an initial appearance in the Dane County Circuit Court on charges related to the burglary and additional cases in Madison. He was charged with one count of burglary, five counts of criminal damage to property, four counts of entry to a locked vehicle, and two counts of theft for the Sept 27, incident.
