Man turns himself in after biting part of another man’s finger off outside Madison bar

MADISON, Wis. — A man turned himself in early Saturday after allegedly biting a part of another man’s finger off outside a downtown Madison bar.

Madison police officers were approaching the Sotto Night Club at 303 Henry Street at around 2:15 a.m. when they were told a 23-year-old man had his finger bitten off. He was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

Police identified a 34-year-old man as a suspect. He allegedly left the scene before before officers arrived. Police said he later turned himself in.

The man faces several charges including battery, disorderly conduct, and causing mayhem.

Madison police did not release the man’s name. He was taken to the Dane County Jail.
