On Thursday, Aug. 20, Epic Systems CEO Judy Faulkner walked on stage in the Deep Space Auditorium dressed as Lady Swan, her own take on the fictional character Mother Goose. Faulkner explained that swans embody themes of transformation, grace and sometimes tragedy – themes that are also common in health care. She was speaking to an audience of nearly 7,200 Epic customers from around the world, all in attendance for Epic’s annual User Group Meeting (UGM).
